Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Course Description

Often times, LVNs serve as the first line of defense when entering an emergency room setting and they are tasked with the most basic of medical care.

—usc.edu, Comparing LVN and LPN roles.

Vocational Nurses perform patient care under the supervision of a physician or a registered nurse (RN). While LVNs and RNs perform similar duties, the path to licensure is much shorter for LVNs in terms of training hours & is less costly. In addition, a shortage of nursing staff is expected to reach critical levels by 2030. You can help meet that demand and secure yourself a solid career.
